Tugs tugs Saturday night...

It was a busy week. It was a busy Saturday.

I didn't have work today. Tomorrow is a holiday.

What was I supposed to do on such a rare occasion? Take advantage of it, of course.

Last night, I went out with Take 1 and Take 2 at our usual clubbing spots. I also invited another friend, Sol.

It was a different night from the crazy one three weeks ago. I made sure I didn't get wasted this time. I made sure that we got the better whiskey and not some I dunno what whiskey it was that they used.

It was a super fun night!

I saw some photos and videos of the Ageha party and I kinda wish I also checked it out. Maybe next time.

Sleep all day...

I got home at 5 this morning.

Hmm, I was up at 10. The first thing I did was to go out to eat brunch. After that, I went back to bed and took a nap.

I got up again at past 1, had something light, and then went back to sleep.

At 4, I got up and prepped to go to church. I went for the 6PM Mass at St. Anthony. Otw back, I grabbed dinner.

I watched one ep of Kimmy Schmidt and then slept again. Hehe!

Basically, the whole day was about recovering from last night. Sheesh, I'm not that 28-year-old boy anymore. Haha!

I'm about to retire for the day...

One more time...

The second half of Saturday night extended until the early hours of Sunday. Haha!

After the heritage walk in the morning, I went back to get some sleep because I knew it was going to be quite a long night.

It was Tipz's last Saturday nightout in Singapore and we agreed that we should go clubbing.

The night began with catching the 815PM screening of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 at Plaza Singapura. I absolutely enjoyed the film. I can watch it again, to be honest. My favourite character this time was Effie Trinket. She had the best lines and I wish she had more scenes! Haha!

It was past 10PM when the movie ended. My friend E organised a photo exhibit of sorts at his gym to showcase a few photos from his recent trip to Nepal with a group of folks. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the exhibit as it was already late.

From Smith St, we took the short walk to our main destination for the night - Neil Rd.

One last hurrah for Tipz at that road that is filled with mostly (?) good memories.

Out Bar. Taboo. Tantric. Taboo.

One last night of clubbing with the three of us altogether. One last time of us three having the yum gyoza and beef dried noodles at Maxwell post-clubbing.

Next time the three of us are together to have a night light this one, I wonder if it will be in Aus, NZ or some other part of the world.

Another great Saturday night...

Just a quick writeup.

Morning to afternoon of Saturday was quite uneventful. PG Boy and I just stayed home watching TV, talking, reading our own books, and cooking breakkie and lunch.

Late afternoon, I dragged him to the gym since I wanted to do Combay at Cathay. This was followed by a trip to LP since I had to send some money.

Saturday evening til Sunday morning(!!!) was the happening one. Hehe!

In the evening, PG Boy and I met up with two of his best friends for their Chinese New Year dinner. Surprisingly, ion Orchard was not crowded at all. We were all wondering where the people were.

At the same time, we were quite grateful since that meant shorter queueing time at the restaus.

We settled for dinner at Imperial Treasure and coffee/dessert at The Marmalade Pantry. Both food places had good food and were reasonably placed. I think though that DTF still has the best xiao long bao. Hehe!

From ion, I headed back to the weekend home to shower and change for what would turn out to be a very long night.

It was a post-CNY(?!?!) gathering with my guys. When I got home, three of PG Boy's friends were there loading up to get in the mood to party the night away. Haha!

They all asked me whether I was going out, to which I replied, "Of course lay!"

I waited for PG Boy to get back and afterwards, I headed to Farrer Park to pick up Tipz before heading to Neil Rd to meet up with the rest of the usual suspects.

Probably one of the best tugs nights ever.

We left the club around 4 and that was only because it already was closing time. Headed to Maxwell for supper before finally taking a cab to go home.

I got home at 5 plus. Guess what? I was up at 8AM(!!!) WTF, yeah?! Haha!

Anyway, it was another epic night.

G5 Party in Taipei...

More than Songkran, it looks like the G5 party at Taipei is the one that's more exciting.

Hehe!

Tugs on the eve of Diwali...

The good thing about having a public holiday during the weekday is that you can go out on the eve of the PH and tugs the night away.

That's exactly what happened last night with two good friends and usual tugs buddies here in Singapore.

There were no plans to go tugsing. Just before 11PM, the idea of heading to Neil Road was brought up and the next thing we knew, we were already in one of my fave tugs places here in SG. Haha!

Good, good Tuesday night.

The nicest kids (were) in town...

What a memorable Friday (uhm, it was already a Saturday)!!!

Jonjon and Cyp are in town for vacay. Like true blue Singaporeans, the two decided to fly out of the Lion City during Chinese New Year to celebrate it elsewhere.

I must say that the two have adapted to the local culture quite fast, huh. Haha!

Of course, I was more than happy that the two decided to come over.

We've been planning the tugs tugs night as early as mid of January, and we've done nothing on Twitter but talk about how we're really looking forward to tugs tugs night! Hehe!

A week before their arrival, I received some good news. It required some changes in schedules. It was either I see the boys for just a short while or I choose a later sched for some "errands" so I can hang out with them for a longer time.

The choice was definitely easy. Choose a later schedule so I can spend more time with the two. ;)

It was a fantab get-together. Met up with Cyp, Jon and the usual suspects at Starbucks. We then headed to our happy place and spent the next few hours just being crazy. Haha!

The two flew back to Singapura this morning at a very ungodly 4AM flight. I got to see them again even for just a few minutes. Haha!

Take care, Cyp and Jon! Kitakits soon!

Friday Tugs Tugs and Sunday Tron Tron...

Friday night (technically, Saturday morning... haha!) was spent with the usual suspects at our usual happy place.

It was a reunion of sorts for the Spice Girls (lol!) because Arthur and Edsel are back in town. The only missing piece of the puzzle is Vic, who's still in Oz.

I invited Luis to join as well. When we bumped into each other at Greenbelt over the holidays, I promised him I would text him if there was a tugs tugs night. The last time I saw the guy was several years ago just before he left for NYC. Government was still very much happening back then. Hehe! So, it was really nice of him to make the out of town trip to Ortigas to join us.

My usual tugs tugs/running buddy from Twitter Marl also joined the gang. Uhm, he'd probably kill me for writing this but let's just say the gimik was something he needed. Hehe! Peace, Marl.

Uhm, I also bumped into Mike. It was good seeing him at our happy place. Mike is someone I met back when I attended a semester at UP SOLAIR. He was a classmate in a subject (or two) and he was one of the smart guys in the class. We crossed paths again during Jaybeecc's party last December, and if he hadn't introduced himself to me, I wouldn't remember. Haha! Jeez! Alzheimer's setting in this early? Haha!

And since I brought up introductions (haha! what a segue!), I met a guy who reads this blog. It was already past 4 in the morning. I've had three (or maybe four) glasses of my favorite poison so I was much more friendly. Haha! Friendly naman po talaga ako. I was watching the dancing crowd. I give a polite smile at a guy nearby. He smiles back and goes, "You're Angelo, right?" And I say, "Yes." The nice guy introduces himself, "I'm Andrew. I read your blog."

That was a good surprise. Uhm, I blog just because I need an outlet from the usual writing that I do. I blog to remember the good (and sometimes, the not-so-good) things that happened recently. It's really more of a random journal. I've met a couple of people through my blog, and I have to say it's nice when you meet fellow bloggers.

Meanwhile, Sunday afternoon was spent with Marl, Chase and Curt (or is it Kurt?). Marl and I didn't get to see Chase before he left for his Christmas holiday, so we agreed to meet up when he got back.

Our agenda was to watch Tron at the SM MOA iMax. I'm an iMax virgin, so I was really excited to find out what the whole fuss about iMax is. Hehe! It was quite an experience. And I found Tron to be a treat for the eyes as well. I've been hearing not-so-good reviews about the movie, but I have to say I enjoyed it. I didn't do much processing on the story. I was more in awe with the visuals and finding out whether the girl who played Gem in the movie was hot model Jessica Stam (she wasn't. It was Beau Garrett).

After the movie, we had late lunch/early dinner at A Veneto. OVer pizza and pasta, the guys thought of catching another movie. I wasn't really up for Little Fokkers or Gulliver's Travels, but I was interested in The Tourist. Angelina fan, sorry.

We decided to get out of MOA, and headed to Greenbelt to catch the 6:55 screening. Surprise, surprise, all seats taken. Whoa! I think the non-MMFF watching crowd was just so happy that the other movies are back so they wasted no time in catching whatever was playing that night. Haha!

The four of us left the cinema and headed to Gelatissimo for some fantab gelato. I got the chocolate truffle, which was just sooo goood! If it weren't so expensive, I would have gotten a second serving. Haha!

While enjoying our sweet treat, I saw Eugene aimlessly walking. Marl and I waved at him, but his mind was elsewhere. Haha! Good thing Marlon had his number. A few minutes later, there were five of us. Eugene was luckier. He was able to get a seat for two movies. He was studying the entire day, and he decided to reward himself with a movie treat. Nice.

The five of us parted ways a little before 9PM. Marl and I shared a cab home. Thankfully, there was no traffic. I got home before 11, and I still had a few minutes to finish two chapters of the Michael Thomas Ford I was reading.

Happy weekend it was! :)
