Travel...

Haha, I found this video to be really amusing.

Not so much because of the topic because of the quotes that the girl was using when she talked about travel. I'm pretty sure I've posted one of those quotes on my Instagram. Hahahaha!

I also love how some light shines on her whenever she talks about travel.

Great production!

Sigh, I can't wait to get on a plane again. I can't wait for the day when I have a choice to travel by a regular carrier and by Business Class without having to think about burning a hole in pocket. Lol!

Happy April Fools from US Vogue...

Who says Anna has no sense of humour?

Have you seen the April Fools issue of US Vogue? :-/

I thought Ms. Piggy and Kermit would sell more issues though.

My fave is the elevator prank.

Love the Japanese.

Staying away from that FB section...

The most embarrassing thing happened to me last night.

Ugh!

I was being playful and reckless with Facebook.

The one section I haven't really touched for years is the Relationship status. It has always and continue to be "Single."

For some stupid reason, I thought I'd play with it. Surely, it would do no harm because FB has to confirm whatever change I do, right? That's what I thought.

Initially, I thought I'd make my relationship status "In a Relationship." But thinking that no change would happen, I decided to take it further and make it "Married."

Still thinking that FB would have to confirm with me whatever change I made, I typed in this person's name in the box.

As soon as I finished typing the last letter of the person's name, I saw the message that the person has been notified to confirm that we are indeed married.

I suddenly felt cold, and I wanted to bang my head against the wall for being stupid.

Immediately, I changed the status again to "Single," deleted the notice on my wall that I am "Married," and apologized endlessly to the person.

Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!

Thank god no harm done. :) The person said I shouldn't stress over it. I dunno if it's because he doesn't really care or maybe, just maybe, the optimistic person in me is hoping that he probably has some feelings even in the smallest amount.

Oh well, lesson learned. Never touch that section of FB again, unless there's really a real change in status. Haha!

Only Girl Beki in the World Room...

Sorry, I just have to share this funny situation that happened to my friend.

After finishing his run over the weekend, he went to the men's washroom to change. He went into one of the cubicles, locked the door and started changing into a fresh set of clothes.

When all of a sudden...

He heard Rihanna's Only Girl in the World play out of nowhere. And it was quite loud, I suppose.

Bekis being bekis, my friend began judging the guy in his head. "Ano ba naman itong beki na ito? Beking beki ang ring tone (or whatever)."

My friend wanted to find out who the brave soul (haha!) was, so I guess he moved much quicker.

While he was reaching into his bag to arrange his stuff, he heard some noise coming from his bag.

He sought out what the noise/music was and as it turns out, the Rihanna song was coming from his own phone. Haha!

Lesson learned?

Patulong kay Mom & Dad when cutting...

How sosyal naman the instructions of Jollibee for this placemat activity! Hehehe!

This was at the Bonifacio Global City branch.

I wonder if the Marketing/Creatives peeps decided to word the instructions that way specifically for this branch. Hehehe!

Miranda Priestly, isdatchu?

A couple of weeks ago, I met up with some good friends who I haven't seen for a very long time.

It's always nice to see them even if that means having to skip the gym, because I rarely rarely see these guys.

We almost always spend the hours reminiscing about the good old times. That includes our careers.

While I was slaving away in the PR department of some company, these guy friends of mine have been playing the difficult role of assistants to some high-profile people.

I am always amused by their stories of some of the things that they've experienced. They could be best friends with Andreuh (Andrea) from the Devil Wears Prada. Haha!

Here are two anecdotes I remember. Haha!

High-Profile Person 1: (Boss and friend were discussing an upcoming activity)

Friend: "Uhm, it is going to rain on that day."
Boss: "Did you check with PAGASA? What did PAGASA say?"
Friend: "PAGASA said there will be scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms."
Boss: "Well, can you check where the rain will exactly scatter?!"
Friend: "Uhm, I don't think PAGASA can do that."
Boss: "I'm sure they can."

O ha! San ka lulugar, di ba?!

High-Profile Person 2: (Location shoot for an AVP)

Boss was getting ready for the spiel. Friend of my friend is standing a few feet away waiting for any instructions. Cam was about to roll, when the wind started to blow.

Boss looks at friend of my friend and says, "Iyong hangin."

The friend of my friend probably wanted to die right then and there. Either that or Charles Xavier gives him the power of Storm. Wahaha!

There are several more, but these are the ones in the top 5. Haha! I've always been intrigued how it is to work for a super, super important person. One of my OGTs is I want to be Anna Wintour's assistant. O ha! Haha. Pang-episode lang ng Wish Ko Lang. Vicky Morales, can you help that dream come true? Hahaha!

Doctor and kaliskis-free fish...

I went to see the doctor earlier to ask how I can manage my uric acid levels.

The results of the annual physical exam have arrived. Since I've been trying to live the healthy life lately, I thought I'd go see the doctor to seek his advice on what I can do about the uric acid results.

When my name was finally called by the doctor, I went into the clinic, took my seat and told him my concern. I showed him the results of my APE.

He didn't look bothered at all. That's good, right? Because if he did, that would make me nervous. Or maybe this particular doctor was trained to put on a p-p-poker face very well. Or maybe he just didn't care. Haha! Nyerks! Hello, mag-Judge Judy ba ng todo?! Haha!

Anyway, after checking out the results of my APE, he had to refer me to another doctor for the other item on the results, and he said I need not worry about the other item (my BP) because it was normal.

Going to the uric acid thing. He was dishing out his advice and while I was all ears to him, I couldn't help but lough out loud twice during his monologue. I did apologize though. I didn't want to leave that room with a scalpel sticking out of my throat. Hehe!

Although I'm sure he understood too why I seemed amused with his advice.

Doctor: "So you have to undergo a strict change in diet..."
Me: "Okay, got it."
Doctor: "Avoid, oatmeal, red meat, innards, isdang walang kaliskis..."
Me in Laugh Out Loud 1: "May isda bang kaliskis-free?"

(Note: The answer is yes. According to Twitter friends Jayce and Jamie - tuna, catfish and GG.)

Doctor: "...poultry, beans, soya, taho..., basically, everything."
Me in Laugh Out Loud 2: "Okay. Everything. Got it."

I asked the doctor if I needed to take meds, since my friends who are in the same boat are taking meds. But I did clarify with him that it's not because inggitero ako and I wanted my meds. Hehe! I just wanted to understand.

And dear doctor goes, "You don't need meds. You're still young, and you know, some of the meds could have some side effects. There are about 10 side effects that are fatal, and another 10 that are non-fatal."

I go, "Ooookay! So, yeah, I'll do that diet then." Hahaha!

That was an interesting visit to the doctor. I left his office and before going back to the office, I decided to schedule a consult with the other doctor.

At least, walang Overweight or Obese type 1 on my APE results.

Quite interesting day after Hearts Day...

The day after Hearts Day turned out to be quite interesting, at least for some people. I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to write down the specifics, but let's just say that even for a day (the day after Hearts Day), the world was one grumpy person less. Hahaha!

The potential problem here though is that when one starts to analyze the situation. What does this situation mean? What happens afterward? Would one actually start to believe in something they don't believe in just because something happened? Hehehe! Or could one just take things as it is? That the situation calls for no analysis, and that things should be left as they are because there's really nothing to it. Haha! This is really confusing.

There's this (funny) saying that "everytime the Big Guy closes a door, he opens a verandah." Here's the catch though, the verandah is part of a palatial house and there's no warning that going through it is emotional suicide. Hahaha!

This is confusing, huh?
