Sunday afternoon with dinosaurs...

Last Sunday, I went to Makuhari Messe in faraway Chiba to check out the Giga 2017 exhibit.

I had no other plans and I was done with my work so I had free time.

The exhibit was okay. I thought it was more interesting for the kids, rather than adults.

Perhaps I was expecting something more in terms of the exhibit's layout and set design. I remember going to a similar exhibit in Singapore and I was floored by the setup.

So, I kinda hoped this one was going to be just as exciting if not more.

Oh well, it was still a good visit to faraway Chiba. Plus, I now know that there's an outlet store in Chiba that I can visit. Haha!

It was a tiring but enjoyable experience. I enjoyed the presentation at the National Museum whereby the facade came to life with a group of cute and adorable inuits turning the museum into their playground.

Hmm, we only got to visit the following: National Museum, Peranakan Museum, Armenian Church, and Singapore Art Museum.

There are still a number of other installations to be visited but I'm not sure if I have the time for it. Today and next weekend will be very busy.

Anyway, it was a good Saturday night spent with Richie, Ann Marie, Ana, and Alex. Mon was not able to join because he had another commitment. The rest of the gang also had their own activities. Hehe.

Also busy Sunday...

Another long day just like Saturday. Haha!

Today started a bit late compared to yesterday. First agenda this morning was Pump at 321 Clementi. Thankfully, there is now a 10AM class at an FF my side of the island. Westgate has a 9AM but I think it's too early even for me. There is also a 12NN class but it's a bit late for me today. Yay that 321 Clementi has a 10AM! The teacher is also quite good.

Afterwards, I took 106 to head to Bras Basah for work at the museum. I was scheduled to do the 2PM tour. My voice is not at its best since there seems to be some bug going around. Still, I'm glad the tour turned out okay. I started out with just about 10 people but the group grew to about 20 people. Tired after the 90-minute tour.

The last agenda for the day was movie at Westgate. JKT Boy and I planned to watch Ant Man. Initially, I suggested watching in the city but I think he was lazy to head to the city. In the end, we settled for Cathay JEM. It was also good because the timing was just nice - 7PM.

I was able to drop by the house first to shower and change before heading to Jurong East. JKT Boy arrived 2 minutes before 7. It was fine since movies never start on time in SG. Haha!

Ant Man was actually enjoyable... except maybe for the kid next to JKT Boy who kept on talking loudly. I think he got shushed by JKT Boy. It should be the dad that needed scolding since he doesn't teach his kid proper conduct. Le sigh. Anyway, I'm just glad I'm not the one sitting next to the kid. Hehe!

Movie ended around 9. I got home not too long ago. I'll just rest a bit more and then probably zzz...

Weekends are too short. But this week is also going to be a short one... Yay!

This weekend: trainings, Pink Dot, wedding, and birthday party...

It's going to be another packed weekend. Haha!

Saturday morning will start with a three-hour lecture on Southeast Asian art. This is still part of the docent training for the National Gallery. I'm getting more excited, especially after seeing a number of works by Filipino artists included in the lecture. Yay! I can't wait to visit the National Gallery again and see all the fantastic pieces from artists around the region hanging on the walls of the galleries.

For now, I have o be content with seeing the pieces on my lecture notes. Haha!

In the afternoon, I have to go to Raffles Place to attend a makeup class for the Japanese class that I missed last week. Because I had an activity with my groupmates in the National Gallery docent training, I had to skip Lesson 17 of my Japanese class. It was okay though because I really enjoyed the time with my fellow docent trainees. Hehe!

The Japanese classes continue to be challenging. It becomes more challenging as each lessons progresses. Haha! I have not yet even started studying kanji. At some point, I need to start delaying kanji and start studying. So help me God!

The last agenda for Saturday is Pink Dot at Hong Lim Park. My views on the event have changed through the years, since the first time I attended it. Anyway, I'm still going to support the event tomorrow. I will be meeting up with some friends and together, we will all show our support for Singapore's call for freedom to love. :)

For Sunday, I have two gatherings to attend. Around lunchtime, I will attend a wedding reception in the Bugis area near the Malay Heritage Centre. It's my first time to attend a wedding in Singapore and I'm really, really looking forward to it. In the afternoon, I will be going to the birthday gathering of Mrs. B. I dunno yet where the venue is, but I promised her that I will be there.

My main dilemma is the outfit. Lol. For the wedding reception, I'm planning something semi-formal. The birthday gathering, on the other hand, is a BBQ pool party. Hehe! Maybe I should just wear my swim shorts under the wedding reception clothes and I'll just take off everything when I reach the birthday party venue. Haha! Kidding.

So yeah, it's going to be a busy, busy weekend. I need to find time to squeeze in a workout. Pump class tomorrow morning is definitely out. Same goes for the Pump class on Sunday morning. Haha!

Thank you, Lea Salonga, for a great Saturday night...

Well, Saturday night was definitely the highlight of this weekend.

More than the Katy Perry concert, I was more excited to see Lea Salonga's concert. I may have mentioned in a previous post how I was slightly crushed when I learned that all tickets for the concert were already sold out. I was on the verge of being desperate to get my hands on tickets that I scoured the Internet for ticket resellers. There was one guy who was selling me tickets at a ridiculous price. A day or two before I was going to confirm buying the tickets, not one, not two but three friends messaged me on Facebook to inform me that the concert will have a second performance night.

Wooohooo! The heavens have heard my prayers. Hehe!

Without wasting any time, I booked the ticket and forgot about it for the next few weeks until last week.

I was soooo excited for the concert that I made sure there would be no other activities for the day. There was one, museum volunteer training, but it was something I really wanted to do.

Other than that, the afternoon was just spent resting and having a siesta.

Before going to the concert, I met up with Mon at City Hall for dinner. Richie originally planned to join us but he forgot that he had another appointment he couldn't get out of. So, Mon and I just met up with him around 7 and we all walked to nearby Esplanade.

The tickets were the cheapest, I think. It was less than $60. We figured that since it was a concert, what mattered more was that we could hear her sing rather than see her up close. Hehe!

The concert promptly started at 730 and for the next two hours or so, Lea just captivated the audience with her vocal prowess. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Her repertoire for the night was a good mix of pop, classic, Disney, musical theatre, and of course, OPM. There was no doubt that the Filipinos in the audience, including me, were expecting a few Filipino songs. Hehe! She got the audience to sing "Let It Go" with her, as well as get up from our seats to sing and dance to an ABBA medley.

On several instances, I found myself saying, "Oh my god! Oh my god!" because of how beautifully she sang a song. Even the international guests (does it sound more politically correct?) were enthralled by her voice. (The Singaporean lady seated next to me asked for the titles of the two Filipino songs - Freddie Aguilar's Anak and George Canseco's/Louie Ocampo's Ikaw). We came. We saw. Lea definitely conquered.

After the show, I dragged Jon to queue with me to get an autograph from Lea. I was hoping that we can get a photo with her, but she didn't have photographs with fans taken. To my really delightful surprise, we saw a long queue of Filipinos, Singaporeans and I suppose other nationalities queueing to get an autograph and to say hello to Lea.

By the time Lea signed the photos we bought, it was almost close to midnight. I checked the last train departing for Joo Koon from City Hall. It was at 1155PM. And so, with only a few minutes to spare, Jon and I made a mad dash to reach City Hall MRT station. When we reached the station, there was already an announcement calling passengers to board the train as it was the last train to Joo Koon. I, on the other hand, decided to take the last Red Line train all the way to Kranji. From Kranji, I will just take a cab to my place. But thankfully, thankfully, I was also able to catch the last train to Jurong East via Woodlands. That meant I was able to alight at my station. Yay!

What a fantastic Saturday night at Lea Salonga's concert! :-) I felt super proud to be Asian, Southeast Asian and siyempre, Filipino! :)

Busy Saturday...

Started the day with Pump at Westgate. Headed to the National Museum for volunteer shift. Big group again - 4 Americans, 2 Australians, 2 British, 2 Germans, 1 Austrian, 1 Indian. I think I won't be doing any morning shifts from now on. Hehe!

Went to the library again to work on my Japanese assignment. Final agenda for the day was dinner and hohol at Mr. and Mrs. B's place. It's a good thing I didn't have lunch because the couple served Filipino food that had me going for a second serving of rice. Yikes!

Day started at 8AM. Day ended at 11PM.

Sunday was just as packed as Saturday...

It was a nice Sunday. Busy, but it started well and ended well. Ergo, all is well. Lols!

This morning, I had another training session at Fort Canning. The session was at 930. I left the house at 7 so I can have time for break and still make it to the venue way ahead of the starting time. Today's session was interesting as it was on peer assessment. The facilitator is a senior museum volunteer, who I know. The group today was much smaller allowing for more exchange of opinions and more opportunities to get to know each other.

From Fort Canning, I took the bus down to Somerset where I grabbed a quick lunch before heading again to the library @ Orchard. I'm so, so grateful that a library was opened in Orchard. Now, there's a place for studying/hanging out before heading to the gym for the afternoon Pump class at Paragon. I spent a good two hours at the library.

Then it was on to Paragon for Pump with Bertram, whom we (Tipz and I) christened Bae. So, this weekend was a back-to-back Pump with Bae. Thankfully, his session today was slightly not as tough as yesterday. He really is one of the best Pump instructors around.

The last agenda for the day was dinner with Mon and Richie at what is now officially our favourite Thai place - Korat Thai at Orchard Towers. Not a single time were we ever disappointed with the food. We ordered new dishes tonight - mango salad, yellow curry and tom yum fried rice. We also had dishes we've tried before - pad thai and omelette. The food never disappoints!

We skipped P.S. Cafe tonight as we all felt we were so full from dinner. It is a cool evening so we just went for a short stroll. Rich initially suggested catching a movie, but Mon has work tomorrow. We just decided we'll watch next week.

Fun weekend in KL...

So I spent the long weekend in Kuala Lumpur with one of my very close friends from Manila.

A month ago or so, my friend told me that he is planning to take a job in KL. I wasn't sure if he was joking. When he started asking about living overseas and I started doing some research for him about the income tax in Malaysia, that's when I thought that he was really serious about it. When he sent me his papers from the company so I can take a look at it, that confirmed that he was going to take the job.

I'm unable to divulge his identity because he still hasn't resigned from his current workplace. His trip, in fact, was very hush hush. I could relate because I did the same thing when I was planning to move to Singapore a few years ago. I would fly over the weekend without telling anyone. Hehe!

The news that this friend decided to take a job overseas is a big surprise. I've always thought he is too attached to his family. I know that he is doing well with his career in the Philippines. I know that he is actually financially stable. Plus, there's also the fact that he is in a relationship. One more big surprise is the fact that he accepted in a city he has never been to. Lol! Talk about leap of faith.

The trip over the weekend was his look-see of the city. He was also going to have a meeting with his would-be new boss.

Since I had nothing planned in Singapore, I told him that I will join him if I can find cheap airfare. Luckily, I did. I was able to get a return flight for just $103 via TigerAir. For a less than hour flight, it was actually okay.

I was very excited to see this friend. We agreed that we would just meet at the airport. I think the trip was really meant to happen because our arrival times were so close to each other. My plane was scheduled to land 10 minutes ahead of his. Is that a sign or what? Haha!

If it were up to me, I would have filled the weekend with activities for him to be a bit more familiar with the city. However, he told me that the point of the trip was "to fall in love with Kuala Lumpur." After he said that, we just decided to stay within KLCC and Bukit Bintang area. Hahaha!

Though this is my nth trip to KL, this is still one of the most memorable ones because I still managed to do a lot of things for the first time. Who would've thought? I'll write about that in a separate post.

Also, this is the first time that I have a decent photo with the Petronas Towers. The first time I went to KL, I was on my own. I worried for my camera being stolen so I didn't really get to have a decent photo with the towers. The other time I went was with my Mom. Unfortunately, she cannot take a proper photo to save her life. Another instance was just me again but I didn't have enough time to roam around the city.

This time, I knew I was going to get a good photo because this friend knows what he's doing. And because I was going to be with this friend, I knew I had to pack my Comme des Garcons with me. Lol! I decided I'd go for the red one to pair it with my white shorts. It'll be my Happy Birthday, Singapore attire. Haha!

It was a good trip indeed. More details in the next post. Looks like I will be flying quite often to KL soon. Or maybe he'll be flying frequently to Singapore... especially during the Club 21 Mega Sale. Haha!

Much more relaxed weekend...

Compared to the Hari Raya weekend, the weekend that is about to end in a few hours is significantly more relaxed. Haha!

Whereas the activities during Raya weekend were nonstop (I was sleeping past 3AM for three consecutive days), my schedule this weekend was a bit more relaxed.

For Saturday, I just did some house chores in the morning before heading to the gym by 10AM. I like the class schedule at the nearby Fitness First. Body Pump. I get a one-hour break. Body Combat. Since I could bring in a guest during weekend, I invited Jon to join me for Pump. I also managed to convince him to stay for Combat. Yay!

By the time we left the gym, it was almost 3PM. We had lunch at one of the restaus in the mall. I got home around 430PM.

It only gave me enough time to rest a bit before heading out again for dinner and a movie with Jon and Tipz. I was somewhat craving for something sinful so we decided to go to Tonkichi at Shaw House. It was a good choice since the cinema was also in the same building. Mon and Richie joined us for dinner.

Following dinner, Tipz, Jon and I headed to level 6 for the 930PM screening of Guardians of the Galaxy. It was hilarious! I definitely want the soundtrack.

As soon as the end credits started rolling, I checked the time. It was almost 12 midnight. I checked the last train departing for Jurong East from Ochard. After seeing that I had about a few minutes to catch the train, I said a quick goodbye to Tipz and Jon. They decided to stay behind and wait for the bonus scene after the credits. Meanwhile, I walked/ran from Shaw to Orchard station.

Thankfully, I was able to catch the last train. How do I know it was the last train? When I alighted at Yew Tee, the info screens at the station already changed to "Train Service Ended." Whew!

MkSurf8 invited to a hohol at his place. As much as I wanted to go again, I had to say no because I already said yes to a Sunday morning walk with Mr. Lim.

So today, I found myself up at 7AM. Around 9AM, Mr. Lim and I were already on our way to Macritchie Reservoir. We've been to Macritchie numerous times.

However, today was my first time to do the other boardwalk trail at the reservoir. It was a very easy walk. We covered about eight to nine kilometres. My Runkeeper app paused at 4.5 kilometres halfway so I couldn't tell the exact distance. Since the terrain was very flat, it didn't feel like a 9 kilometre walk. Haha!

For lunch, we headed to Serangoon Garden Food Centre for the famous braised duck. Unfortunately and surprisingly, the shop was closed today. We still had a good and cheap lunch thanks to the neighbouring braised pork stall.

In the afternoon, it was just QT with JC at Mass followed by grocery.

The readings and the homily at Mass today were awesome! In summary, the key message was "Fear to Faith." The message was to walk away from fear and walk towards faith in Him. I messaged my colleague Paula (sort of my fellow Word warrior) about the readings and homily after Mass.

It was definitely a good ending to the weekend and a good start for this brand new week. Thank you, Lord, for all!

Afternoon with the Dragon Divas...

Tipz invited me to watch the Dragon Divas competition yesterday afternoon.

Dragon Divas is a competition among a group of international dragon boat associations in which the guy members go drag and perform.

I'm not exacttly sure what the purpose of the event is though. Hehe!

But anyway, I agreed to go with him to the event since I haven't seen him since he got back from his UK and Manila trips.

We agreed to meet up at Kallang MRT and from there, walk to the Kallang Riverside Park where the event was held.

Seven groups participated in this year's Dragon Divas - Japan, Germany, US, Canada, UK, Ireland and of course, the Philippines.

Of the seven performances, I have to say that I enjoyed the Japanese performance the most.

To me, the group was the one that was most organized, most prepared and with the most creative and most original presentation. I know. A lot of "mosts" in that stament.

But it's true though.

The Okinawa Dragons was the only team that really understood what it meant to go drag.

While the performances of the other teams were also entertaining, my vote really went to the Japanese team.

As for the Philippine team, I was expecting more especially after seeing photos from last year's competition (in which Tipz performed). I wonder what happened.

In any case, it was a good Saturday afternoon activity.

Yeah, who would have thought, huh? In this land of skyscrapers and luxury stores, this piece of beautiful greenery exists.

And there quite a number, I have to tell you.

You just have to know where they are. And it would be great if you have friends who are into nature-tripping. Hehe!

The joint practice that waited for years to happen...

After a number of years, the plan to attend a yoga class with Bernice finally happened. Haha!

In previous yoga-relate entries, I'm quite sure that I already mentioned that it was Bernice who introduced me to the practice. Before she left for the Netherlands several years ago, she would almost always arrive at our get-togethers with a yoga mat slung over her shoulder. This got me interested, and I started asking questions about it.

Bernice left for the Netherlands for graduate school, and I enrolled myself to the gym thanks to a fantab corporate promo. It took a couple of months before I had the guts to attend the yoga classes. But after my first yoga class, I knew I wanted more. That started my yoga journey. I even have a favorite yoga teacher at the gym. Whenever I miss his Saturday class in Glorietta, I would try (very hard) to attend his Sunday class in Galleria. O ha! I was also able to attend one class facilitated by Bikram Manila's Tristan Choa when our HR department invited the guy to hold a session at the office. He's soooo good! When the Global Mala Project happened in Manila a couple of months ago, I was totally happy. That deepened the desire to be practice yoga regularly. I have to say though that I've still got a long way to go. I may know the asanas, but to understand the yoga philosophy is a whole different matter. I know that I have to get myself into a yoga studio outside of the gym for that. We'll see, we'll see.

Anyway, going back to the get-together with Bernice. When she messaged me last month that she'll be in town for the holidays, I brought up the idea of attending a yoga class together. It's only right that teacher and student do that, right? Hehehe! I told Bernice I could probably get her into the yoga class session. We just agreed to meet up at the coffee shop right outside the gym in Galleria. We were both excited.

Fast forward to yesterday. After giving Bernice a big hug, we made our way to the gym. I gave my membership card to the guy behind the counter and told him that I'd like to have Bernice as a guest. The guy hesitantly tells me that my membership does not have that kind of privilege. Toinks!

What do I do? I do what every Pinoy does in similar situations - pakiusap. I gave the guy my sweetest smile coupled with a pa-awa effect and said, "Sir, my friend came from abroad and we'e been planning this for the longest time. We're not even going to work out. We'll just attend the yoga class." If needed, I was ready to make up a story that we came all the way from Alabang or some other area far from Galleria just to attend the class. Hehehe! I know, I'm evil.

Thankfully, the guy was nice enough and let us in. I kept on thanking him and I told him that this would be a one-time thing. (I hope!)

Bernice and I then made our way to the yoga studio, and I'm glad we agreed to meet up at 9 because the gym pushed the class to 9AM instead of the usual 9:30AM. For the next 90 minutes, Bernice, I, and some 10 to 12 people followed the lead of our teacher Pio. What I love about Pio is that he goes beyond the allotted time. Usually, it's just a 60-minute class, but he extends his class and I'm really thankful for that.

After greeting each other "Namaste," Bernice and I stayed behind. We waited for everyone to get out of the studio before I took out Hanschen and Tey's very reliable mini-tripod.

I set up the camera. Bernice and I agreed to do the easier poses - vrikshasana (tree), natarajasana (dancer pose), eka pada rajakapotasana(one-legged king pigeon pose). Wish we could have done some more complex poses but I only had 10 seconds to prepare for the photo. Haha! (The dancer pose could be waaaaay better.)

When we were happy with the photos, Bernice and I got ready to spend the entire day together. We headed to Shangri-la Mall, which I'm starting to really like after all these years. The day included brunch at Penang Hill, coffee at Figaro (why is there no Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Shang??? Why???), window shopping, and of course, a very good conversation.

I realized that I'm blessed to have a number of people in my life who I always find so easy to talk to. Bernice is one of that. We could spend the entire day, and we would not run out of things to talk about.

It was already late in the afternoon when we parted ways. We took the MRT together. I got off at Cubao station. Her station was GMA-Kamuning. We agreed to meet up again this Saturday. It'll be just as fun because we're going to meet up with former Magsaysay colleagues Noreen and Carol. Yeeey!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, sana Friday na...

I can't wait for Friday to come.

I am already looking forward to hear this.

Legally Blonde was legally superrrr...

Legally Blonde was legally superrrr!!!

Saturday afternoon was spent at the Meralco theater with a former colleague Grace, who is my usual sidekick when it comes to watching musicals.

Of the three venues where plays/musicals are usually held (RCBC, Greenbelt 1, Meralco), Meralco is definitely my favorite, for very obvious reasons.

Anyway, when Grace and I entered the theater, I already got excited. The stage was framed by a pink light. You just get the feeling that behind the curtains, there’s an even more spectacular view to behold. That was just the icing on the cake. When we got to our seats, I was extremely happy because we got a fantab view of the stage.

And when the curtains finally opened, I was floored. The set design was just awesome! It was pink all over! The pink lights looked elegant and beautiful, not the kind of pink that hurts one's eyes.

The music started playing, and the next two and a half hours were a super sweet treat for the eyes and the ears.

I knew it was Nikki Gil who was playing Elle Woods. I didn't know how good she was until that afternoon. She was really good. She delivered her lines perfectly. She spoke beautifully. And the girl can sing really, really well! My apologies if I seemed that surprised. The only things I know about Nikki Gil are the Coke TVC and the Asian version of a song from HSM.

Since I didn’t read much about the production, I was thrilled to see how powerhouse the cast was. Theater stalwarts Joel Trinidad, Jett Pangan, Cris Villonco,Calvin Millado, Felix Rivera. Other surprises included Geneva Cruz playing Brooke Wyndham, Nyoy Volante as Emmett Forrest, and Guji Lorenzana who played Warner Huntington.

Except for the sound issues once in a while (which were totally forgivable), the numbers were really super.

I liked “Omigod,” "Serious," "What you want," "Chip on my shoulder," "There! Right there."

The dance numbers were also extremely entertaining. The most difficult, in my opinion, is “Whipped into Shape.” The number included a lot of jump rope sequences. I was constantly worried that a performer or two might get his/her foot caught in the rope and fall. But no, the number was executed very well!

All in all, the show was great! You’d be laughing all throughout the show. And you’re definitely going to leave the theater with a big smile on your face. I would watch it again, if I can find the time and if the tickets aren’t sold out yet.

Congratulations to dear Chari Arespacochaga for another superb production! Fantab work!

I actually have the soundtrack of Legally Blonde. Fellow musical lover Wes gave me a copy ages ago, but I haven't really listened to it. Now that I finally got to watch the musical, I think you now know what's going to be on repeat on my iPod on the next few days.

On the road with the Magsaysay girls...

Even with only a few hours of sleep, I was still able to drag myself out of bed and get ready to meet with the Magsaysay girls.

The last time I saw some of them was at May's house when she invited me and Shy for dindin. I was still selling my iBook to May, too. One more reason why I had to go to her house. Man, that was ages ago.

So when May emailed that we're going on a road trip, I immediately penciled it in my calendar. It's always, always fun to see the girls.

We met up at Times Plaza. May was the first to arrive. Our meetup time was 7:30. Since I saw that I still have a couple of minutes to spare, I dropped by the 7-11 store to get me a tall cup of French Vanilla (my absolute fave) for some caffeine fix. Cathy arrived a couple of minutes later. Shy, on the other hand, was the last to arrive. Hehe! In fuhr, consistent siya. Hehehe! We will just meet Lenly (along with hubby and kid) in Tagaytay.

It was a rather pleasant drive. There was hardly any traffic, and there weren't that many peoeple in Tagaytay either. I dunno if it's because of the Taal Volcano alert. Initially, there was concern whether we should push through with the trip because of the alert. I just told the girls, "Di naman siguro iyan puputok while we're there. And even if pumutok siya, we'll already be in Sta. Rosa by the time the lava or whatever reaches Tagaytay." Hehe!

Our first stop was Lourdes Church for Sunday Mass. The new church has a very nice altar, I have to say. I have childhood memories of the place because the annual sacristans gathering used to be held at the Capuchin seminary next door.

Anyway, after sanctifying ourselves, we went to the Greek restaurant along the highway to satisfy our hunger. Hehe! Because I didn't have proper breakfast, I was really hungry . When we got to the restau, Lenly and her boys were already seated and waiting for us. We ordered gyros, cheese and olives, moussaka and the yogurt drink.

The good lunch was made even better by the company I was with. Lenly and Ginny talked about the upcoming migration to faraway Canada. Huhu! Their 2 yo old kid JM entertained us all with his cute antics. Cathy was being cougar over JM. Hehe! Peace, Katya. Shy and Mayo jumped in the conversations. I listened. I watched. I talked. I ate. Hehehe!

Since it was Father's Day, Ginny and Lenly had to leave early. They probably had plans with the little one. After bidding them goodbye, May, Cathy, Shy and I headed back to Manila.

We had two stops though. First was to get a photo of the Taal Volcano and Lake. The skies that day were sooo clear and gave a fantastic, fantastic view of the small volcano and the lake. It was just too perfect to skip. So we stopped by the highway and took some photos of the panoramic scene.

Our second stop was at Paseo de Sta. Rosa. The plan was to just go cool ourselves at Starbucks. We ended up wandering around the place and checking out all the outlet stores. Wahahaha!

As for the dessert and cold drinks, that became a full meal at Sugarhouse. Harhar! We were too hungry after all the walking, and the meal we had at Mano's Greek Taverna was rather light. Hehe!

It was a very nice Sunday get-together with the girls. We had a very interesting and long conversation after one of the girls broke some news. I've yet to fully feel the impact of the news. Hehe!

The drive back to Manila was also free from heavy traffic. Yey! We got back early evening, so that gave me enough time to do a little work.
